They could be right. I lost a lot of weight by basicaly starving myself last summer, and I shedded like crazy. You could try finasteride for a few months to see if that helps, in combination with a healthy diet, with much protein.

I typically just used the product on the left, but recently I've been experimenting using a 2/1 ratio combination of both of these products. The jelly makes hair dumb curly, so I just use just a tiny bit of it, like half of my pinky nail. I use about a full pinky nail of the cream. Make sure to put it in when your hair is damp.

I'm currently using Bale's haircut but a bit shorter, is similar in texture but instead of combing front part back and letting it drop fordward again you just use stronger product and hold it in place.
I remove excess water after shower then use sea salt spray and a comb backwards but because its still wet it returns you should instead hold it with product.

I've been trying to get your typical gook haircut in Japan for over a year. I've been to chain salons like Agu and hanare which are typically $30-40 USD. Just go for it. As long as you care for it and keep the rest of yourself well kempt you can make it work. I'm working on a serious bald spot and the front is in decline, but I like long hair so I keep it. Just gotta understand that you're not going to fool anyone into thinking you got luxurious locks, and you kinda gotta lean into that. Oil or creams to keep it together, sweep it back or tie it up. You'll be good for a solid couple decades.

At what point do you cut your losses when balding? I've lost a significant amount of hair over the past couple months (1st pic in may, 2nd now)

For context I had no visible scalp on the top and crown of my head in may, only a receeding hairline. My hair is also significantly thinner than it was in the summer.

Go shorter up top like 3 inches.
Get a low fade (like seriously touch behind your ears and make sure your barber sees to start the fade there. Some barbers are fucking retarded and any mention of a fade makes them immediately go into Macklemore mode) and tell them that everything above that line must be cut with scissors not clippers at maybe 1 inch. Finally have them use texturizing sheers on top and do not leave till you are satisfied with the amount of texture. Barbers like to cheap out on texturing for some reason I've noticed.

The first is about shampoo. I've used the same one for ten years and now it no longer exists. I've tried numerous bottles since and each one makes my hair flaky as fucking shit. It's not dandruff, it's dry scalp. I'm literally just buying anything new in shops that alleges to remedy this. Any advice?

Second, if I want to grow my hair long how do you do it? My hair is really thick and rather than growing down it tends to grow out so it just ends up extremely voluminous and I end up looking like a Bee Gee. Do you have to get it cut back a little to let it grow longer or do you just have to deal with the awkwardness of the bad phase to get to where it looks decent?
