Ventured out to autisticly grab some samples of Philosykos EDT, EDP, and Eau de Minthe today from a nearby parfum specialist store and on my way through the local department store across from it, they surprisingly had testers for almost everything from Tom Ford out to try, so I thought I might as well try out Black Orchid and one of the only Tom Fords to elude me for so long, Lost Cherry.
Let me tell you right off the bat, Lost Cherry is one of the most potent and sensual fragrances I’ve ever put my nose on, it’s sweet intoxicating sex served straight to your olfactory senses. Not going to lie, I couldn’t stop myself from literally rolling my eyes into the back of my head.
It’s that good.
Do yourself a favour and try it out if you can come across it.

picrel

Wearing plain Caron Yuzu Man to work today, very nice. I am catching the odd waft from myself but I think for work purposes it will be more suited to layering with Guerlain Vetiver to boost the longevity which I've done a few times now since getting it and enjoy a lot. I was hoping to get a spread of a couple of freshies so that I'd not rely on GV as much, but this makes it different enough for me anyway.

Im a fan of the 80s but I also have a few expensive modern fragences myself but these are all so great
.quorum is a nice buisness woody incense fragrence.
.aqua quorum is a refreshing voilet and ocean fragrance that is great in the spring and summer.
.lapidus is very sleazecore mafia feel which smells very sexual.
.roma uomo is actually very spring and much like what a beautiful italian woman would smell like but I would say it still is unisex fragence.
.Dakar is just a perfum version of drakar noir and last like 8 hours, its smells like what a amernian pimp does with its strong oakmoss and leather but I love it.
.one man show is also my beast cause its a pine and tabacco smells like gets alost aphrodisiatic when I'm working about a sweat at my job demoing houses.

Ambre Sultan is the most popular Serge Lutens after Chergui and Un Bois Vanille. But the pro tip is to buy pic related. It's really cheap for the value, 90% close where the remaining 10% difference is that you don't smell like eating curry everyday and it performs as good as Ambre Sultan.

Used to have Dior Homme. Liked it for a while from what I remember, but then I think I started finding it a bit too sweet/strong. Still nice though. I think I also liked l'homme from ysl from the last batch of perfumes I had. My ex used to love The Scent by Hugo Boss so I wore that a lot as well. I hated Sauvage even though I liked it at the store for some reason. Tried Tom Ford Mandarino di Amalfi once at Douglas and found it unbearably strong and kind of nasty, but I think it was because the worker who was helping me oversprayed it.
At the moment I have Cool Water by Davidoff (almost never wear it, smells like aftershave), Moschino Uomo? (it was a gift and it's almost too sweet but I like it), Paco Rebanne Paco (it's fine) and Versace The Dreamer (used to really like it, but now there's something that bothers me about the top notes). I bought the 3 that weren't gifted to me blind since I needed a perfume and they were cheap as shit.

I think I've formed a habit due to audio equipment. With headphones, for example, the best are generally not the mainstream ones, so whenever I look for something I try to learn what brands/products the enthusiasts like/respect.
Basically I'm hoping to find a couple of well respected, semi-obscure fragrances that work well for me and then stick with them for years.

got a lady friend coming to visit me soon.
She travels a lot so Im guessing she smells Sauvage/BDC etc on the train.
I'd like an appealling frag choice that's not as normie, but maybe still designer price range so I can get a decant or even a bottle cheap enough?

ok so this Eugenius video is extremely based but let me ask you a question. Do you think he got the clips together in an editing program and then recorded his screen for some reason or that he recorded his screen and then shoved the resulting 30 or 40 so clips into a program? I really don't know which is more autistic.

I think the community you're choosing to ask is not quite the right one. You should be choosing a community that uses fragrances as a seduction tool. Most online fragrance enthusiasts hate on fragrances that eventually become best sellers. Bleu de Chanel and Sauvage are clear examples. Surprisingly, most women end up loving Bleu de Chanel and Sauvage on men. My theory behind it is that most online fragrance enthusiasts are attracted to fragrances because of their personality. Their personality are introverted, shy, soft, likes luxury, likes exclusivity, want to feel different than the archetypical man. Meanwhile most woman just want the same thing in men...strong, competent, energetic, masculine...which translates to the scents we see being best sellers.

Just go for decants of Jeremy's Office for Men or Date for Men. In my opinion...why bother trying to reinvent a new thing. If BdC and Sauvage works, just stick to it. Always trying to be "different" is overrated.

The only reason I suggested Jeremy is because most people that are taking transit will not be wearing it. As long as it is a designer that can be bought in most fragrance stores, it will be normie.

I don't think Eros or Boss Bottled Intense would be bad options if you feel good about it. Most mainstream fragrances should be quite attractive. It is only when you're really pushing for the most attractive fragrance that it becomes more BdC/Sauvage/La Nuit etc etc.

Apparently, and maybe unfortunately, I share many personality traits with online fragrance enthusiasts, but for some reason (especially considerig that I rarely take any initiatives socially) I've never had trouble with women. Used to think it was pity, but now I don't really know. When I say I mainly wear perfumes for women, I'm not talking about seduction. What I mean is that once I've gotten closer to a girl, I want her to be able to identify me by smell alone, and if she eventually smells that (good) perfume again in the future, I'll pop into her mind instead of me + the contingent of arab fuckboys in Europe.

I've had the opposite experience, but as I said I've only ever owned mainstream, designer perfumes. A girl I was with even went to shops to smell the perfume I wore when we were together after we broke up. Maybe it's because girls do indeed love those perfumes, I don't know.
I don't think I've ever even come across a girl who smelled of sweat though. I can't even imagine how smelly s*x was with your ex anon.

Most of the times I went out with her I used mainstream perfumes as well. Didn’t matter if it was sauvage or black Xs, she would simply never react to it. The only one that I think got some attention was Terre D’Hermés, and it wasn’t exactly good attention.
> I can't even imagine how smelly s*x was with your ex anon.
It wasn’t that bad. I say she smelled like sweat, but I had to look for the scent, as I often do because of fragrance autism. Most of the times she just didn’t have any smell.

to be honest, if you want that...it might be a smarter move to go fragrance shopping together to create something really personalized to your relationship. Don't bother wearing any fragrance and just have good hygiene.

a) you know she will like it because she helped pick it
b) it would be a date/memory and anchor the scent even closer
c) you won't smell like some arab fuckboy because you're not wearing any fragrance
