I used to have pretty severe cystic acne. Tried a dozen different topical treatments, which all did nothing or gave me light chemical burns and irritation.

Quitting coffee made like 95% of my acne clear up after a year though. Was like 80% clear after a month.

Dunno if you've still got acne but I like to drop this anecdotal experience every once in a while in case it helps someone else. Coffee is one of my favorite drinks in the world but it's bad for me. I quit all caffeine just to be sure.
