Bro, firstly: that stuff is already true of black docs. They're kind of effeminate because 99% of the people buying them now are women. Similar thing with Barbour.
Secondly: why would you see that as a bad thing instead of an opportunity? Do you think they're going to form a circle around you and point and laugh?
If they have approached you because they have the same thing as you it's because you literally got their approval and attracted them to you.
It sounds like you might have actually turned that situation into a shit-test and then failed it.

Slowly. You can tell already they aren't the same color as when I got them (but I did hit them with some lexol.) only wore them for a few weeks, but think they might be one of the nicest offerings you can get from OSB.

I can see the quality control issues though, but i got these on sale for one, and the second thing is that it really didn't bug me enough to deal with. I wasn't ready to pay alden/viberg/whites prices on boots, so I think these are a good price for horween cxl. Heritage fags can suck my cock

Pic related is them when I got them. Biggest quality thing for me was the spot, and a small hair sized dent, but that second one could have been mine. Also, think the right boot might be victim of some loose grain (see the previous pic) but not sure if that's it or just weird creasing.

To my eye, everything looks ok otherwise. I think they're alright. Seems like there's always a problem with boots unless you wanna jump to a high price bracket. But I like the silo of these well enough and its hard to get mad at this point

Does anyone have any experience with the brand callboy? I saw it on Instagram and they seem make shoes inspired by designer outlets and Hedi era stuff. I'm looking for some new boots since I've had docs for years and want to upgrade and I like the Dior Navigate Silhouette but I don't have a grand to spend on 12 year old boots. They have their own Navigate-like shoe for $200 which is much easier to stomach but I can literally find fuck all reviews for them. All I see is reviews for their wyatt clones not the boots

Yes I think so but you have to understand they're not 2x better than a $350 dollar boot. You get diminishing returns. If you wanted to splurge on really nice boots I'd say they are worth it but I would also tell you to look at Crocket and Jones for a little bit more because they do not compromise. If you want the best though, Edward Green. With fine shoes, after about $300-500 range, you don't get huge jumps in quality so "wofrth it" is in the eyes of the beholder. If you take good care of shoes, I'd say buy the best you can and they will last decades.

Just buy the damn redwings anon. Good boots will last you for YEARS. You want a quality product because you want to take good care of your feet.

I get it -- this board pays a lot for dumb shit. Sneakers are also generally overpriced. But the difference is that boots aren't subject to the same shit as easily and thus you generally are gonna get a quality product. Don't skimp on boots because you want something now. Either wait for a sale, or save up your McDonald's bucks and buy a pair later. Don't skimp because when they fall apart and look like shit, a cobbler won't be able to save them

I have these boots from the callboy. Absolutely do not buy them. Customer support is the worst I have ever experienced, when I asked for a track and trace code they kept saying tomorrow man. They lied about having shipped the boots. The owner tried to scam me by using a non accurate conversion rate, which was a difference of about 90 dollars. I had to wait 6 months on my boots instead of the promised 3 weeks. The leather is way below docs tier and the sole is already crumbing after light use for about 3 months. Do not buy these and do not support this dogshit company. From the first also makes boots similar tot the Dior Navigate, they are a lot more expensive but that company actually delivers a quality product

I got some nappas a little while back too. Let me ask you something: did yours feel tight around the top of the foot?
I went to a Docs store and tried them on in 11, 11.5, 12. The first two felt too tight and uncomfortable.
Then a few days after I went to a non-Docs shop because they had them on sale and 12 felt too loose, 11.5 felt okayish, 11 felt snug but not too tight and like it was the best option.
I'm wondering how much of this was varied manufacturing, how much of this was varied levels of foot swelling or was it possibly that more dudes had tried this other pair on and stretched the leather a bit?
The pair I ended up buying don't seem to have any bounce either.
