teeth guards to combat nightly grinding do not only need to fit the part of the jaw they sit on, they need to be adjusted, i.e. have even contact points on all corresponding teeth. this can only be achieved by a dental technician in a lab. just ask your dentist.
concerning biorepair, there is only one clinical study commissioned by the manufacturer thats supposed to show its effectiveness and they have not published it to the medical community. use any toothpaste as long as it contains fluorides. i personally use elmex since it has amin fluoride which has a higher substantivity compared to sodium fluoride.

Not true if you do it everyday & remove whatever accumulated that one day.

The first step is definitely brushing twice a day. Make sure you brush the very back teeth that you're probably ignoring as that's where the majority of bacteria builds up, resulting in bad breath since people think they can ignore those teeth for some reason. Also brush your tongue (including the back of it)

Floss twice a day without exception.

Then use mouthwash. This doesn't do anything but help to freshen your breath but it makes a difference.

It's also a good idea to pay your dentist a visit and buy a bleaching tray to use as directed for white teeth (this is the proper way to whiten your teeth, never buy whitening toothpaste.)

Also make sure to pay a visit to your dental hygienist at every six months with a visit to the dentist if recommended afterwards based on what he says after giving you a once over following your cleaning.

I don't see how this isn't be the case when the guard is literally molded around my teeth. I just bit slightly on it normally and not pressed it in by hand so it should be just an even bite just 1mm apart.
Also I have no idea how my jaw is positioned when I sleep. The pillow presses against the face and most people sleep with misaligned teeth anyway or even mouth breathe.
Or is this another dentist/ orthodontic sales trick "yees buy my experimental braces treatment to make your teeth straight unless you want to have REALLY bad back pain when you are older, forget about posture therapy you need expensive braces!!!"
For the toothpaste idk but my teeth do indeed feels smoother after using it and mine tend to have rough texture.

>>14882964
brushing twice a day? when?
Naturally I learned before sleeping and right after sleeping. But why clean the teeth when you just slept and ate nothing?
I think people just do it ro battle their stinky mouths. You could just eat a mint leaf instead.
Brushing everytime you eat makes the most sense as you just polluted your mouth with sugar, protein particles.
But I eat whenever I want so unless I want to brush 3+ a day that is silly? Also brushing that often wears the enamel down doesn't it?

Common misconception. You're brushing to get buildup and such off of your teeth, not to remove physical chunks. Before and after bed are sufficient. Brushing directly after meals is actually bad for your teeth (look it up). You should definitely floss after meals and water rinse, though. No Listerine, as other anons pointed out. Ya my mouth was never that bad. I had braces and my teeth look nice and not too yellow but the dentist was always like "oh your gums!" And i never cared. Only brushed like once a day and flossed here and there. But then i read about how gum disease is linked to heart disease. Then my gums were really bad. Always bleeding even tho teeth looked fine. Had to be totally numbed while they cleaned under the gum line. Realized my gums were receding pretty hard core and over time that can lead to losing teeth. Dont wanna be like 50 with no teeth and dentures. If ur gums recede it doesnt matter how good ur teeth look, they can fall out. So i started on a pretty hardcore regiment. Fell off the wagon and i feel ashamed for it. My mouth just felt so healthy and good and my teeth were the whitest they have been. Maybe for the new year

>> No.14884175

>>>14882964
>Naturally I learned before sleeping and right after sleeping. But why clean the teeth when you just slept and ate nothing?
Because when u sleep ur mouth does a self cleaning deal. Kinda like during sleep ur body detoxes. Well the mouth too. Seriously. Tongue scrape before bed and then in the morning to.gue scrape again. There will be all kinds of shit built up. Its gross.
>I think people just do it ro battle their stinky mouths. You could just eat a mint leaf instead.
Nah dude. Mint may help the smell a little but bacteria breed in the gum line. So if u dont brush and floss super well, alot, then the stink comes from the microscopic bacteria hiding in the gums and between teeth
>Brushing everytime you eat makes the most sense as you just polluted your mouth with sugar, protein particles.
Depends on the mouth. And u must wait like 20 min before brushing. After u eat, saliva builds up to help digestion and to help break down harmful bacteria in the moutb. If u brush too soon u can disturb the healthy bacteria and mess up the ph of ur mouth.
>But I eat whenever I want so unless I want to brush 3+ a day that is silly? Also brushing that often wears the enamel down doesn't it?
Ya i feel u. I often snack which is bad for oral health. I just try to brush morning and night and after snacks i pick my teeth, do a light flossing or a quick brush up with a soft tooth brush and just water. It only tskes like 30 sec. Yes u can wear down enamel with commerical tooth paste that uses Silica (ithink). Baking soda does not have same effect
>Also what has bleaching to do with bacteria?
Already stated. The mouth is very similar to a vagina. It has a delicate balance of bacteria and is somewhat self cleaning. When u nuke the mouth with bleach or flouride it does kill the bad bacteria, but also the good. Its a gentle complex microbiome. Natural stuff is better but u must be consistent and dilligent.

Yes. If u dont brush at least lie in bed a floss.
Flossing is more important than brushing

I used to only brush my teeth a couple times a month when I felt like it and right before I went to the dentist because I was scared of them noticing how gross I am. But each appointment they would just say my teeth were doing great, and no one ever complained about my bad breath. Plus I asked close friends/family members if my breath smelled and it never did.
Now I'm more mentally sound and brushing and rinsing daily, but my breath smells and tastes disgusting when I wake up. It's so bad it makes me want to throw up, the smell's on my upper lip too
Nothing in my diet has changed, wtf is going on

>Never use whitening toothpaste
As in it doesn't work or as in it actively hurts your teeth. I have a half full tube, should I throw it away?
