Those are pretty horrid to wear for long periods. Don’t LARP. Each boot is nearly 3 lbs and your feet will melt if it’s not legitimately subzero.

they’re US milsurp for ultra cold arctic operations. They vacuum seal around your feet to prevent heat exchange as much as possible. They’re monstrously heavy and hot and basically entirely impractical to wear

These are actually cool. Maybe a bit over-designed but not bad at all. You’re a girl tho right?

Here in Alaska we only wear bunny boots when it’s -30 minimum and you’re not doing much. As soon as you start moving your feet start sweating instantly

Just wanted to thankyou for pointing this out - personally theyre not my aesthetic and all and think they look kind of goofy, but Im a private investigator and winter is fucking killer on your hands and feet being in your car [a frozen fucking icebox] all day. Looking forward to a cozier season now without my feet falling off

>> No.14856067

Top tip, if you buy some fleece insoles and put them in a boot of your choice it will make a big difference. So if you struggle to find a balance of form and function this could make a nice looking boot more cold weather capable. This obviously depends on quite how cold it is where you are. I’m talking more along the lines of temperate climates.

Thanks pal that really helps, Im based in southern Ontario/Canada so its not Yukon/Alaska tier but 12+hours/day in snowy conditions sucks ass. Do you have experience with fleece liners? I want the absolute warmest shit possible. Its mostly a sitting job so comfort while walking isnt an issue, neither is aesthetic.
