I'm turning 30 soon but my life is no different than when i was 18. Yea, I fucked dozens of girls, went to college, etc, but I've
>never worked consistently for more than a year
>still live with my parents and never paid rent if i wasn't living with them
>never had a job earning more than 16/hr
>no friends, status, or dignity

The point is, I feel fraudulent in "adult" clothes because my life doesn't reflect being an adult at all. i feel like I'm larping as an adult with dignity, a career, and responsibility. That being said, what do I wear?

Most 30 year olds still dress like their mid to late 20’s, don’t worry about it until you hit like 35 I guess

Their is a guy in my uni course. He is probably 35 plus. But he is fit, has full black hair, slightly greying sides af, very pretty as well. Probably the second most attractive guy in the class. He dresses like your average twen, follows the same fashion trends. Now that I think of it, he is basically the same except you notice his life experience in how he's more reflected whenever he says something.

This sounds a lot like me. 32, fit, attractive with long flowing hair that any guy would kill for...and I dress like a complete fucking chav. Tracksuits, Northface, Air Max, middle of the mall tier chains/jewelery and other cliche overpriced shitty Chinese made normie status symbols. Luckily I'm not greying at all and moisturize daily, so I've got the wrinkle free complexion of a 20 year old whereas a lot of my friends started balding and hit wall a few years ago. People often think I'm younger than I am until I start talking, then they get confused. I'm able to pull girls in their early 20s with ease, but with a 30yo now because I'm reaching the age where I can't connect with girls too young to understand any of my references or experiences.

I don't know where I go from here... Do I relegate myself to a life of chinos and button-ups with rolled up sleeves? Do I trade in my trackies and TNs for cargo shorts and Monarchs? Do I get a haircut and start drinking to develop a beer gut so look closer to my age? I know I can't dress like this forever but I can't stand normcore and think more "adult" sensibilities considered fashionable make you look like my pussy ass neo-liberal applied behavioral sciences professor.

The biggest thing is that you have a wider range of women to go for. Women don't like to date a guy who's more than a year or 2 younger for the most part, but they're open to guys who are several years older. Plus, older women are generally easier than younger women.

At 22, your dating pool is roughly 19-23 or 24 (and remember that a lot of the 21-24 year olds are more into older guys so not really). At 30, it's more like 24-32, maybe even as low as 21 if you're into that.

we don't have that in the us.
we just have homeless people who shit between parked cars so you always have to watch where you step.
it saves the taxpayers money but it's a shitty solution in my opinion.
just watched a hooker shit a huge pile of shit between two cars on my way to work this morning.
i work in the mission district in san francisco in a loft in a shitty neighborhood with a lot of street people.
they all seem well fed and high on something and they really can't hold their bowels for more than 20 miinutes at a time.
I fear for the future.
I really do.

I'm 39, do I get the big boy points for this thread?

How you dress isn't based on your age, it's based on how you look. If you like younger looks, you'll look fine in it if you look young. If you are some guy who looks 50 at age 30 then you will look stupid.

If you think and ask questions about how you are supposed to be at a certain age, you are still kinda immature and not really in an adult mindset. Not a bad thing, most people are like that even at 30. I think I hit about 32 when I stopped really caring, I dress how I want to dress but it doesn't have to be a uniform way. I dress in many different styles. If I go and see a band, I will dress that way. Obviously if something is formal I will dress that way. I like dressing in different styles and different looks anyway, I don't have to have one look, I can do what I want.

I can pass for around 25 though so I can get away with different looks. Like I said, dress how you want but if you are some guy who looks super old you will look like some guy in a mid life crisis if you dress in street wear.

If you are asking people on an image board about rules on how to dress at x age though, yeah, you got some growing up to do. Dressing in a different way only feels strange if you have always dressed the same way. You think how people will see you and maybe then see you as some fraud.

Just imagine you move to a huge city, nobody knows you, you know nobody. They know nothing of your life. How would you dress? Nobody would know if you are being a "fraud" or if you always dressed that way. Hell, they wont even give a shit. That should be your mindset.

If you're married, your 30s is where your wife buys your clothes, so get used to "hip" stuff from Macy's (and, if you're wife is slightly nerdy, meme t-shirts). If you're not married, have fun with hearing, "Why are you not married?" all the time. But seriously, you can just wear what you've been wearing. Jumping to new trends in your 30s is rare though, so if you want to do that, realize you'll get a reputation in the office.

>"Why are you not married?"
I'm 25 and get this shit all of the time. I tell them I don't get along with people and prefer my solitude. Then they act like that's too much information, as if they didn't initiate the conversation asking about my personal business. God damn I don't understand people, and I hate being a person that doesn't understand people. Someone kill me please

>> No.14824329

>>14824293
I do the same thing and tend to get too personal.
The thing is they are just making small talk, they don't really care about the answer.
You need to make yourself more interesting so that they have other topics of conversation for them to ask you about rather than your gf status.
Politics is a good way to switch the conversation around and get them arguing so you can quietly escape.
I play devil's advocate to whatever they say and then admit that I'm not political.
Somebody else will always jump in and start arguing for you and that's when you excuse yourself to get another drink or escape to the porch for a smoke with someone cooler.
