military surplus combat boots - does the classic black leather combat boot exist anymore? It seems like they've all been replaced by civilian chinkshit that costs the same or more. Are there any good websites that stock them?

>> No.14803689

These are the exact boots I was issued in the army back in the 90s. Altama is the brand.

If you like the canvas uppers, I also purchased and wore these:

Bought pic rel for $40 off ebay. 1976 Genesco combat boots. They're actually supposed to show up tomorrow.

They're nice but the soles look a little funny imo.

Get some wildland firefighter boots. Hope you know that you shine these yourself

I keep finding steel toe combat boots on ebay. Are they really uncomfortable or much heavier?

Beyond beautiful.

Man, jump boots are so sexy. Simple as that.

>> No.14804759

>>14804749
They showed up, I'm going to need to give them a little bit of a cleaning, but god damn these boots are beautiful. I'll try and post a pic later. They're so lightly used that they aren't even broken in yet, they still squeak too. I got lucky for sure, all the other boots of the same kind were much more expensive.

I've lifted my pants legs so you can see them better, they look fucking sexy, I won't lie. Also if anyone is interested the pants I'm wearing are some swiss army wool pants. I'll be getting the piping removed and then I'll hem them.

Hell yeah. Try straight lacing them.

I had a pair of those, you gotta have proportional calves - me I was pozzed tier at the time, so they looked way too big. Also, beta them to shit, will look much better.

>> No.14805361

>>14805196
I'll give it a shot. I'm going to do a little restoration on them, and I'll probably try straight lacing them to see how it looks.
>>14805207
I'm thinking my calves are probably good enough, I have a pretty similar body to most guys in the military, and it looked great on them. But I'll definitely be wearing them a lot to break them in. For such old boots they've hardly been worn at all.

My Danish military surplus boots arrived, they were a bit more wide than I excepted and I sadly got the version with the lace hooks but not that big of a deal.

Here's mine which are superior, earlier peoduction. The sole is stitched and nailed + they don't have that ugly gap near the eylets in the middle.

Actually they should be the same as yours. I see yours are also earlier model.

I like yours but I respectfully disagree. I prefer the newer ones that I bought, even with the ugly gap. I think the silhouette looks better when laced all the way up.

They are though. Different manufacturers had slightly different patterns but it's all a variation of the "mcnamara" boot.

The biggest change that happened is the glued sole in the mid 70s

new here.
so how do you wear Austrian para boots without looking weird.

>> No.14810939

>>14809607
I’d say maximum one other piece of milsurp in your fit, but also try to keep the outfit rugged looking. Straight leg or slim black jeans rather than skinny so you get a lil muffin top on the boots. They’re not as conspicuous as you expect them to be when you wear them. Disclaimer: I’m no fashion expert but I do own these boots and I like them a lot.
