My face looked like that too after horrible cystic acne. After a few years of rigorous, religious use of tretinoin, AHA, BHA, Vitamin C, and the use of Korean face masks, the scars are hardly noticeable. You really can only see them in extremely specific lighting with extremely specific angles.

I used prescription tretinoin and Paula's Choice AHA and BHA, but lately I've been using The Ordinary 30% AHA + 2% BHA Peeling Solution. I think it'd give the same effect. You must start this stuff slow because your skin will intensely dry out and become irritated if you over-apply it. Gradually increase your use.

If you use this stuff, your face may look much worse before it gets better. These skincare items basically makes your skin rapidly regenerate, so anything that's deep in your skin will come out all at once. Don't pop anything. Just get through the ugly stage, and your skin will greatly improve over time.

Most importantly, drink water, drink green tea, and keep a healthy diet. Your skin needs nutrients and hydration in order to repair itself. Good luck, anon!

what oils/creams should i be using with a dermaroller?

If you have deep scars like that I'm afraid no oils or creams will help.
Subcision, microneedling, chemical peels and laser treatment.
If you have some surface scars then it's dermarolling or microneedling and tretinoin. Oils and moisture won't do anything for scarring.
