I'm not an expert on suits, but here are some pointers: The arm of your shirt should end about a cm above where your jacket ends and your jacket should end another cm above that. It looks slightly big over the chest and shoulders as well. Pants are obviously too long and I suspect you have bunched up fabric at the waist. Get pants that fit good enough that you don't need a belt. They should bunch up like that at the shoulders either, but adjusting the length is easy.Black shirt makes a dull impression. Might have worked if the suit fit properly. Would recommend a tie to add some life to it, but the collar looks a couple of sizes too large as well.

trousers/jeans that go over the boots instead of sweatpants that are tucked into them. keep the coat as is but introduce more interest into the outfit by going for a different top. it could be a sweater or whatever you prefer, in something else other than black. red/blue/green whatever, you can try looking into jewel tones. at least try gray, earth tones etc. even if an outfit has a lot of detail and interesting layering, if it's just all black it will look kinda bland. if you really feel like wearing sweatpants look into ones with a bit more detail like pockets, and a looser fit. i think those type of 'cargo sweatpants' might work with those boots
