Are contact lenses worth it?

>Is a device that allows you to fucking see without making you look like a bug eyed gook worth it

Hmm, what a myster

Yeah but what about the risk of infections?

>> No.14779432

>>14779358
Very low if you are washing them in solution like you're supposed to.

>> No.14779447

I've been wearing contacts for 2 years and the vision I get with them is substantially worse than with glasses.

For the most part, yeah. Wouldn't recommend using them every single day though, as it will dry out and damage your eyes.
Also, daily disposable are way superior, not that much more expensive than monthly lenses.

Been wearing them for nearly a decade now and I've never had trouble with them.

Get daily disposables. If you are going to bother with reusable shit, you might as well get ortho-k.

>> No.14779518

I wore them for years and never had any problems. No infections or damage. Just take them out every night and wash them in the solution. I would still wear them but just recently got Lasik.

>> No.14779522

There is nothing wrong with using them as long as you remember to do everything you’re supposed to, like cleaning or rewetting. In the long run surgery might be cheaper but it can cause chronic dry eyes

I always forget to take mine off lol

Yeahhh... I slept with mine for a while... regrettable decision is an understatement.

Depends, how much are you ready to suffer for fashion?

>> No.14780517

Understated. My contact lenses feel comfortable and it seems like I can see clearly when looking in a mirror, but within a couple of hours, at least one of them will turn out of focus and blur, which no amount of manual turning with a finger or complete rewetting can fix.

>> No.14780535

Glasses make me look uglier, I only wear contact lenses when I go out to do groceries or work. At home I just wear glasses or nothing.
>>14780517
I have the same problem.

>> No.14780545

Been wearing them for 15 years and I’ve never had an infection. And I don’t even take that much care desu, I just make sure to not sleep with them on too often. Totally worth it if you don’t like glasses or if the prescription is too high.

>> No.14781305

feels so good to not have to wear glasses do it buy dailies and just wear them on occasion
