I'm a male with fine, wavy hair that I've been growing out for some time, and I'm not sure what hairstyle to go for. Currently, when pulled gently, it's about chin-length in front, and base of neck in the back (almost touches collarbones). I wear round glasses, and have something between an inverted triangle and oval face shape. Any recommendations?

This is basically what my hair looks like. The problem I deal with is making it work when I have glasses, which sometimes displace my bangs in a weird way. I struggle with my bangs, which tend to look frizzier and finer than his. Usually, this is alleviated by washing my hair thoroughly (to distribute sebum), but due to genetics and my glasses, the hair in front doesn't seem to set in a way I'd like.

I'm not sure what to do. I don't use shampoo or conditioner anymore, as I've found that my hair is infinitely healthier and more manageable if I scrub it by hand with water, redistribute the sebum through my strand, and blow-dry. I just wish the hair in front grew more densely.

On another note, what is this style considered anyway? What does it make you think or feel, and what do you think it conveys to other people? I wonder how I can reach this style more effectively. Otherwise, I'm doomed to put my hair back, and that's simply not my preference.

It depends, honestly. If you go too long without washing it, then it can be. If you're reasonable with distributing sebum and wash some out in the shower, it's not so bad. The problem is that my hair is a combination of:
>Fine
>Oily
>Wavy (sometimes curly)
>Frizzy (genetics)
This can make it a bit difficult to deal with sometimes. Though it gives it more texture than thick/dry hair, it requires attentive maintenance. If I use shampoo or conditioner, it becomes dryer, very frizzy, and difficult to style, so I don't. I'd argue it becomes less bouncy and textured otherwise as well. My hair doesn't look like some poofy George Washington mess when I do this, so it's worth it.

I've found that blowdrying for this hair type (lowest heat, highest air flow) is the most effective option for improving flow/volume and waviness. It feels cleaner and looks more 'gorgeous', for lack of a better descriptor. However, I struggle with my bangs, as my glasses impair the natural fall. I suppose I could just leave my hair over the center, but it sometimes parts in the middle in an unpleasant way. If I part from the side, it may appear a bit too "CA surfer" or emo, which is arguably even worse. If my oils are distributed properly, and my hair is not damp, I can have something of a lovely bishounen hairstyle.
