Gen X here. Im writing a book and unfortunately it has young people in it. Whats this style of dress called? You know, the skinny pants thing. I need more reference but I dont know what style to investigate.

For starters, what type of music would someone who wears shit like this listen to?What is the female version of this style? I havent spoken to anyone under 30 since I ordered my last breakfast burrito so you'll have to be patience with my ignorance of youth...shit, culture, whatever the fuck.

based on your perceived need to ask these questions I'm gonna say you're most likely a shit writer who doesn't even have a good story to serve as the basis of an entire book

Those pants are called joggers. It’s just a skinny version of sweatpants. The type of person who wears this is the same as the one who would in earlier times wear sweatpants. Someone lower class or perhaps someone without aspirations.
The closest I can get to naming it with a style would be lazy or relaxed athleisure.
Music? Depends on where and which culture. It could be anything. Rap, gabber, garage or grime are some genres I could imagine being stereotyped with those pants.
My best guess for female counterpart would be whatever they are wearing in Geordi Shore the tv show.

Also if you write the name of the book, I’ll look it up in a year and buy it.

>> No.14773775

my opinion would be that there have to be at least 3 different subcategories that fit with joggers

1 those who would usually already wear sweatpants
2 those who are into more of a sportswear and want something similar
3 those who want something chill and lazy to use

i myself use joggers only recently found them but i do not like any that have that sweatpants look, i do more of the denim kind, so you have to take that into account, it would all be the lazier version of what is normally seen for other styles (eg. 1 sweatpants, 2 chinos, 3 denim)

Skinny tapered jogging pants are hideous. They look like something an autistic child would wear.
