I bought a hat that's too fucking tight around my head. I literally got an head ache after wearing it yesterday. What should I do, /fa/?

>> No.14705436

Stretch it

How? Just by pulling it from sides? I like the hat itself.

Basically yeah. Any new piece of clothing needs to adjust to the wearer

Thanks.
Now I feel dumb, lol.

Don't. Stretching might not do a thing. It depends on the material. Return it and order it in a size, which fits. There's no point in holding on to stuff, which doesn't fit, because you'll end up not wearing it other than a few times initially.

The vendor you bought it from (you bought it from you local hat vendor, like I keep telling /fa/ for months, right) can steam it to make it fit better on your head. Please pay him a visit. Most vendors will also give you the option to wear it for a day, see if it fits and change it for another one.

It's too much trouble to return it and I would have to pay for the shipping costs... It didn't cost too much anyway.
>>14705547
I bought it from H&M.

>H&M
Just put in the trash where it belongs.

Where should I buy my hats from then?

Your local hat vendor. He will give you advice, let you try on different models. The hats/caps will cost you between 80 and 350 dollars each. Anything below that is literal trash. Take this advice as if your dad gave it to you.

>Your local hat vendor.
These don't exist in 99.9 percent of towns.

Every town is next to a city. For me, it's a 20km drive to the next hat vendor. You must know that smaller towns only sell you crap. If you don't know your way around, you will look like crap.
>The nearest city feature three different hat vendors.

What kind of hat? If it's felt, wool, or fur take it to a hat shop, they will have an old 50s style hat stretcher they can use. You can get stuff for this yourself too, you just have to steam the hat usually. But if the hat is leather or even if the interior sweat band is leather do not steam it, this will cause the fat in the leather to come out. If it's just a ball cap you can still stretch it that way but basically just get a hatting block that's too big or a small hand stretcher and store the hat in its hat box with the stretcher in place. Otherwise it will shrink again.

lmfao you fucking retard. if a beanie is too small it will literally never ever fit. especially if it's headache tight. i'm guessing yours is some acrylic blend. you can't stretch those like a more constructed hat. if you stretch it too much it will just look completely ridiculous and floppy. you have to try a hat on first man. I've had to pass on some sweet, expensive as fuck beanies from the hat shop where i work because they were just too small, even when I could get them for free. You gotta get a new hat dawgy. Order "fresh tracks" from goorin
