bought austrian memes from no-step on ebay. they look sturdy, relative undamaged, fit great but the vibram sole is just too chunky, look like clown shoes. Could a resole with a thinner sole fix this?

These are the finnish M05 combat boots, more specifically from the first batch subcontracted by Sievi. The second batch was from Jalas and has more bulbous toebox area and the sole extends higher at the front.
The third and current batch is from Sievi again and has fully rubberized toebox and differs a lot from the earlier models.
