too many people on these sites who buy from local thrift stores and price things to make a good profit... not saying it's a bad hustle but it definitely pushes the average cost of stuff up to the point where its really more about paying for convenience.

if i'm gonna pay someone to curate a selection of vintage clothes for me i'd rather check out an actual good vintage clothing store in a big city. i used grailed to search for specific designers but i really don't care to browse on there

Yes.
Etsy's good for covering your arse and you can find cheap shit on there (though I've found stuff like pic related)
Also they actually check to see if it's vintage or not and they pull it if it isn't.

If you can, anon, just thrift around in your city, it's way cheaper than going online.
If you know what you want or want something unique that's a different story, pic related. I've had success on ebay, etsy, and poshmark.
