People with curly hair: How do I get my curls to be more coherent and "together" instead of looking like individual strands of coils hanging off my scalp like an octopus's legs?

Try using a curl cream. I like killer curls by Kevin Murphy.

Other general curl tips:
Don't use a towel to dry your hair. Try drying with a diffuser.

Use a sulfate free cleanser. I like deva curl.

If you have dry hair try an argon oil spray.
