Where to cop good lambswool sweaters (shetland, geelong etc.) with shorter body lengths? I am 190cm tall but prefer my sweaters to be about 62-64cm in length, and these are almost impossible to hit with all sweaters being 70cm+ in size L. But those longer sweaters look like shit with high-rise trousers, so they are out of question.

I found one brand, Rubato, who make specifically the kind of sweaters I want, but they are out of stock in all colours. Harley of Scotland is close, but slightly too long. Other heritage makers like Jamieson's, William Lockie etc. are always too long. So, any pointers? Budget isn't really an issue as long as the price stays under 300€ per sweater.

Anyone with knowledge about wool types? Like you guys i'm about to spend 100-200 euro on a sweater that'll last me.

I've been reading and many places say that good lambswool/merino is better than cheap cashmere (uniqlo) and that good wool sweaters states the place of the woolery. Does anyone know within the 100-200 euro range what is the optimal type of wool? Not sure if i should buy a lambswool or alpaca or the cheaper merino? Good cashmeres is +350 euro and is out of the question.

Du kan få god-tier knitwear til cirka 200 euro (hvis du bruger en 10% discount kode) herfra:

https://isuit.it/clothing/sweaters/kiton/19om67

Har selv kobt tre styk Kiton strik derfra. De har stort udvalg og noget af det er lidt underligt / gammeldags, men kvaliteten bliver ikke bedre.

>not putting premium high quality long staple cotton on the top of the list

everything you mentioned after cotton is itchy, cant be washed, and starts to pile after 1 wear.

I don't classify sweatshirts as knitwear.

Japanese loopwheel sweatshirts made of high quality cotton like Suvin Gold are as nice as good cashmere or good merino.

Cotton has its place in knitwear, it's just not as warm as wool/protein fibers. Useful if you're in a warmer climate or want knits for early fall. Plus it's easier to care for cotton than wool.

>>14664053
Good merino is just as good as cashmere honestly. There are lots of other sheep breeds out there that produce wool with unique characteristics suited for various uses, but im not as sure of if/how they're labeled in commercial garments, I've only really seen merino and shetland referred to when it comes to that.
