I'm about to go to freshman year of college in the north and I don't have any heavy winter jackets since I'm from south Texas.

What jackets are fa but also actually keep me warm.

Pic related is the jacket Bane wore from Dark Knight Rises I think its pretty good.

Don't buy the actual movie coat replica because you'll look like you're larping. That jacket, being a long leather jacket with those Dracula tier button things coming out of the lapels is a pretty edgy design.

Get a regular leather jacket with sherpa lining.

I've always imagined that those business districts still exist in big cities where the businessmen that look the same decade after decade walk around talking into their phones and carrying suitcases.

If you're not one of those people it would look weird to me though. Maybe it could be pulled off in a non-formal/business setting with a crewneck wool sweater or something.
