Since their creation, waistcoats have been hailed through the decades as sexy as fuck. Name me a better article of clothing.

It's probably that faggot who's asking for a backpack alternative but everyone is trying to save him from himself by trying to make him ditch the vest. Only bartenders and barbers wear them without a jacket.

Kek, I didn't even see that other thread

The best thing about these kind of posters is that it's impossible for for them to recognise how absolutely ridiculous they look - it's a combination of total ignorance and total arrogance which makes it so hilarious

Post fit op, please do it, otherwise please go back to mfa for your validation

Nice, do you go outside much with these clothes? How hard/expensive is it getting into this?
You should post in WAYWT sometimes, it'd make for a fun change of pace.
Props to you anyway, keep at it.

I don't go out much in them, last time I did was when I wore it to school for my favorite historical figure's birthday. It's not too expensive and you can get various parts from different places. The wig was only around 20$ while the frock coat was closer to 80$.

In the earlier post, I had mentioned pairing them with sports jackets. The other kind of jacket I do it with is a dark brown leather jacket. I'm a fan of the flight jacket with waistcoat look, as seen in this picture. As for trousers, I either wear brown wool, khaki or olive twill, or dark blue denim. My shirts are just cotton dress shirts, sometimes with a tie. I don't dress 18th century except for the waistcoat and occasionally a cravat. The thing with that style of waistcoat with stand-up collars is that they could be folded down to look like regular notched or shawl lapels, too, which I often do.
