I want to know, is the classification of a fragrance limited only to the notes listed, or the actual prominent notes.

For example, Aventus is listed as an example of a Chypre, but I have smelled Aventus and the lemon and vetiver notes are super heavy, which would classify it as a Fresh Fougre.

Lemon and vetiver don't classify something as a fougere lol, do some more reading... Aventus is considered a chypre because it uses birch tar/leather, vanilla, and ambroxan in a way that tries to approximate a mossy/labdanum/amber base, as well as it's sour fruity opening and prominent patchouli/rose accord. It doesn't have vetiver.

Fougeres are based on lavender, musk, and coumarin. Not Lemon and vetiver kek

So, that's complicated. Let's start at the beginning. Like year, two or so ago there was a Stacy who posted a photo of a sticky note that she presumably got from someone on a plane (more likely found the photo on internet) humblebragging about compliments her fragrance always gets her. I don't have the original photo, but that's the middle panel of the meme on the left. Some based autist started pulling her leg saying that the note doesn't say 'smell/smile' but 'snice'. She got angry and in result the whole thread was flooded by her rageposting and fellow autists pulling her leg even further. That was the origin of the 'snice' meme. However, CSI:/frag/ made their research and found that this photo was posted a couple days before on the instagram of this lingerie model called Alex. It was quite unbelievable that it could be her, but at some point some other anon claiming to be Alex said that she (more likely he) can prove her identity by posting on instagram. Couple minutes later a post about some Tom Ford's fragrance was posted on @aleolak instagram. It was probably sheer luck, but we want to believe that she was really coming here to shitpost with us about fragrances. That way she became the /frag/ queen. Moving forward months later. We used to have this anon around these threads, that was coined as Kourosposter, who was posting his delirious prophecies and exalted stories about Kouros fragrance visitation. It was top literature, and we were all always waiting eagerly for his next post. However, some dumb and bluepilled newfags made him abandon us by their shitposting. We brainstormed for a bit how to bring him back to post with us and realized the only way is to use the ancient Greek mythology methods that the Kouros comes from. We asked /lit/ for their help, and they recommended us to 'start with the Greeks'.

>> No.14561393

>>14561389
After doing some reading we decided that just like in Greek literature one of the regular /frag/ posters must go on a quest of putting his phallus into Alex to break the curse and summon the Kourosposter back. However, we soon realized that no one here really has any SEX, so the choice fell to the guy who pays thousands yearly on escorts - the hookeranon. Unlike all of us he is at least prepared for this quest to some extent. Since then his destiny is to meet Alex and fuck her to bring the based Kourosposter back. He obviously tries to do this in the only way he knows how to meet women e.g. by paying them to meet him. Now he's coming back to Europe and the stakes have never been that high before.

Layton is Jeremey's second or third most shilled niche behind aventus. Its basically a niche eros. Easy to wear and smells good....Very interestingly he now has a partnership with Tiziana terenzi.

Let me say that again JEREMY HAS A PARTNERSHIP WITH TIZIANA TERENZI. Surprised im the fist to post about it. He put up a video a few days ago. Really surprising because they are such niche and challenging scents besides "muh al contrario". I've got ursa and laudano nero. Ursa is based, laudano is more challenging than I thought. It will just be interesting to see jeremy shill these crazy and challenging scents to pajeet.

Are zoologist frags meant to smell good, or are they designed more as a novelty/art piece? I'm considering buying a sample set.

>> No.14561812

>>14561774
First of all, we call it Zootopian here. Secondly, I think that they were initially designed as art pieces but then they realized that it's not the most feasible business model because no one but Wafts from the Loft will buy full bottles of stuff like Hyrax. This theory can be confirmed by Beaver reformulation. It used to be very animalic and challenging fragrance. The reformulated version is very wearable and pleasant aquatic. I think they'll proceed that way further (as it was shown by squid which is supposed to be another wearable one). Nevertheless, quality is definitely there and all of them are worth testing imo for someone into fragrances to have some points of reference for further exploration. They're sample sets are very reasonably priced, so give it a try.

Tried Aventus Cologne today. It’s actually pretty snice. To me, it’s kinda like a lighter Aventus mixed with Carven L’eau Intense. You get the main Aventus vibe, but some sparkling citrus, mint, and ginger. I never loved Aventus enough to buy a full bottle, plus I have PVI, which is close enough for me, but I may have to cop Aventus Cologne. I’ll probably wait until I’m in Amsterdam, though, since it’s like half the price over there.

Also, the girl who blew me at my sister’s wedding messaged me today. Apparently, my sister told her I’d moved and she wants to come see my new place. Not sure I’m gonna bother, because I got my Amsterdam trip coming up soon anyway, and she was kind of a thot and I already smashed anyway. Eh, maybe if I get bored in the next few weeks.

I also picked up a small bottle of Lush’s Sun when I was out today. Pretty simple scent, basically just smells like freshly sliced oranges on a wood cutting board. One of the most natural orange scents I’ve smelled. You can smell the juice, the rind, the peel. Very snice. Again, very simple scent, but it was only 35.00, and if you like orange, you’ll like Sun.

Have to say, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Lush. They make some very nice (and some very unusual) scents. Bought a couple bath bombs to try as well, since the girl I had over on Saturday told me I had to try them. Bought a few of the Karma soaps as well. Pretty much the same scent as the Karma perfume.

Well truth be told a lot of what is out there are marketed heavily is snake oil. Where I get mine is a legitimate lab that uses the individual molecules and pheromones excreted in humans, some in animals as well. There is some crossover as some animal mones will effect humans. Different mones produce different effects in people. Some provide comfort and relaxation, some as you would expect are heavily and overtly sexual. Not everyone is effected by them or react the same. It also depends where a girl is on her cycle as to what she will be effected by. When she’s ovulating a heavy sexual blend is fish in a barrel. I’ve literally had girls open and close me with it like I was her target and not the other way around. But when she is not a strong sexual can polarize her. A lot of this is a guessing game but like pick up it’s a numbers game. To make it frag related I always cover them with fragrance. The alcohol helps diffuse the mones that are usually in oil concentration. AMA. I can talk about whatever aspects you want.

It’s not 100%, like I said not a magic pill. It doesn’t always hit but when it hits it is undeniable. I’ve had girls literally entranced, eyes glazed pupils dialated. Pheromones are written off as fake because it’s not 100% of the time effective. My source is for pick up thot grabbing. There is a small online community that exists on a forum to discuss these things. Hits are sometimes very subtle. You won’t get girls lining up to fuck like marketing leads you to believe. Sometimes it takes 15-30 minutes to really grab it it’s going to grab. Most people who have a good source won’t shill these because it can prove to be very advantageous. I have an alpha blend that can spook and scare chads into stuttering betas. These work on guys too and they can work on yourself too. My alpha blend inhibits my approach anxiety. I just feel compelled to approach

Fair enough hooker anon I’m just very confident in what I’ve got and figured you would be curious. I’ve given it to friends and colleagues totally blind just calling it a “cologne” and told them to wear it all weekend and see what people think of it. Every time, and I do mean every time they have come back asking me what the hell I gave them because they were either getting approached or their game was consistently much greater and they felt an unusual confidence. I have the humility to admit when I’ve been scammed or conned and if I had any shame I wouldn’t have posted this here. Is legit and it’s real, we are subject to our own biology. We are animals just like everything else, you poop and shit. People have trouble believing it works because they don’t like to admit we have animalic senses. I don’t appreciate the negative reception and name calling when I’m really trying to talk about this. Look into a forum called “phero truth” if you’re curious. Tough list of notes for $80 and natural, imo.

Go to your local mall. Go to the Guerlain counter at the department store and try Habit Rouge for all of the above notes. Go to the Dior stand, try the Dior Homme series. The Cartier Declaration line might agree with you if you can find it in person (specifically d'un Soir), it can all be found cheap. Terre D'Hermes Eau Tres Fraiche is a good beginner orange scent but it comes off as a bit synthetic to my nose, give it a shot. Lastly go into your L'Occitane store and try everything (esp. Eau des Baux for vanilla). They're well-priced and smell natural.

If you want to spend a bit more, it wouldn't be a natural post without recc'ing Diptyque. If you have them in your area give these a go: Eau Duelle (vanilla), Oyedo & Eau des Sens (citruses), & Eau Rose. I'm sure other anons could give better Rose reccs. It's not one of my preferred notes.
