uh, how should I dress for jury duty?
anyone go through this?

I did jury duty for 6 months. Normal civilian clothes, maybe business casual is you're feeling cute.

Anyone should dress casually in no less than chinos and shirt. However, I would dress in a suit, because I like suits.

Alternative train of thought: how you should not dress for jury duty? Or how to exclude your self from acceptable jury pool by dress and manner alone?

Reminder to always nullify on non-violent crimes :^)

OP pic is fine, maybe add a blazer or sweater since court is kept pretty chilly usually. Good luck, it can be a really cool experience.

It’s very easy. They will usually call each potential juror one by one and ask questions to determine if you’re suitable. You can say anything from having a relative in law enforcement or having a friend/relative that was a victim in a similar crime to the one being tried. You can probably also show up in a soiled t shirt and sweat pants (or some over the top techninja fit) and that would be enough to not get selected.

As long as you don't look like you just rolled out of bed, you're good.
If there's a chance of me sitting there all morning and afternoon, I'm wearing something comfy.

>>14547721
Unless you're wearing something incredibly offensive or obscene, you wont be excused due to dress.
When you're asked questions, simply say something biased and make it evident that you already have your mind made up over whatever the case may be.

you can literally wear whatever you want

wear a shirt that says "jury nullification" to voir dire and you'll be fine

Honestly the best way to NOT get picked is to show up in a suit. Lolyers don't want people that are super hyped to be on juries, super excited to "fulfill their duties as a citizen" or to "see justice served." These guys are trouble and cause problems.
The people they are after are average joes who don't really want to be there

what you said is true of defense attorneys, but not prosecutors. both participate in jury selection
