You are really overthinking it. Obviously don't wear something cringe like a graphic t or cargo pants. If you are going somewhere casual, any shirt/pants/shoes is probably fine. Any of these outfits would be fine, just a little less fitted. They come down to: jeans/chinos + tshirt/shirt + coat with boats/sneakers.
