Local men exclusively wear jeans, cargo shorts, and sports pants, with either a t-shirt with a graphic of some local business or event, a light sports jacket, or a tucked in collared shirt. It's socially inappropriate for men to deviate from this or put thought into their appearance. Men who live in the woods tend to be more unkempt and have unusual facial hair styles, old men sometimes wear late 1800s beards and old tattered clothes.

Women have much more varied fashion although the most common look is that which is required by the dominant religious sect (maybe 1/4 of the population), in which women are not supposed to wear pants, cut their hair, or wear colors other than black, white, and grey, though not everyone fully follows the dress rules. These women always bun their hair and often wear headwraps with little/no makeup or accessories. Outside of these churches women tend to wear normal rural midwestern styles.

In the winter, everyone wears heavy jackets, a chook (beanie), winter boots, and typically sunglasses or goggles. Masks are also common on cold days.
