you could probably work it into your outfits if you wear a lot of fleeces, patagonia type outdoor stuff, cargo pants, beanies, that sort of stuff. This is also contingent on where you live, if you live in the PNW or New England, go for it because you'll find a lot of people wearing such things around town in those regions of the USA. Anywhere else though you might look weird and out of place outside of designated outdoor recreation areas. Of course if you actually go on a hike it's the perfect excuse to be caught in that plus you'll get some good exercise.

Better designs available only from Japan. Red Wing does the same thing. I talked to two red wing employees, one who orders raw material and the other who sews boots, and they both said the Japanese wholesale customers are autistic and really hard to work with, but they are good customers otherwise

Like once they returned an entire pallet of boots because they didn't think that the way the boots were wrapped in paper was authentic. So they had to ship them back to America and rewrap all the boots to their made-up "American traditional" specification
