This also explains the basedbeard phenomenon, also all these fucking tattoos and fixations on "boutique" beer of all things lmao.

Never thought of it this way. You're absolutely correct.
Also, whenever someone says something along the lines of;
>like a man
>be a man
>real men
I know that either they're $0¥¢u¢ks or insecure about themselves. Never heard a regular, decent person say those things. It's mostly insecure retards trying to be tough shit but scream like a bitch when a bug flies into the room.

I was at a meeting at work last year and the window was open. A shiny looking bug flew in and two girls screamed. Not like getting startled scream but screaming when they see it coming close.
I looked back to see who screamed, apparently it was a $oyboy with a beard. The girl only screamed once but our boi kept letting out the screams.
I took the bugbro out and left him on grass.

what about people who judge others and assume they are "onions" (aka "not real men") because of things they enjoy that you don't purely because it's considered normie?

I guess this whole workwear thing becomes really dangerous when you start seriously looking at it from a fashion perspective.
The whole charme of this style comes from it NOT being primarily focused on looks, but utility and comfiness. This is why tailored fit work jackets and skinny jeans look so wrong.
Some people also seem to use it as a cheap copout to say "hey guys, I am a manly man" (see >>14436927) while still being conceited as all hell. Just look at the whole beard phenomenon.
I think it's kind of laughable when somebody dresses like Paul Bunyan but doesn't know how to cut a tree, let alone tell trees apart.

Honestly, workwear is completely fine as a style, it's only a problem when "people" (hipsters, bugmen, etc) wear workwear despite never doing manual labor in their lives, and/or when people try too hard and wear raw selvedge japanese meme jeans. Just wear Levis or Wranglers or Lees, those are much more accurate to what a blue collar American would actually wear. Also, the whole "effeminate city guy with a lumberjack beard" thing needs to die. Most actual blue collar Americans are clean shaven.

This. I'm blue collar, it gets hot as fuck at my job. Beards are hot in the summer, any sort of long hair gets caught in shit, they absorb odors, etc. It's easier just to shave every couple days.

Agreed,
Workwear needs to be beat to shit and worn in to look good, same as leather jackets
