it was probably frowned upon in most boards but /fa/ is smaller and weirder

and i guess it depends on whether you liked the tripfriend in question and what the board zeitgeist's feeling was toward said tripfriend

i'm sure the more obnoxious ones started out forcing themselves but sometimes people accepted their presence, and sometimes people didn't

like i can't imagine what people thought of e.g. casemods at first but when i first saw him i thought he was some run-of-the-mill xposter stopping by to shitpost for a few days and was mildly annoyed but i became fine with him
