Thoughts on milsurp? When can it be worn casually? Is a single jacket okay? They are rather cozy and warm.

>> No.14364511

I think that milsurp that doesen't look overtly edgy (too many pockets, crazy camo patterns, insignia etc) can look pretty damn good when worn casually/hiking. Of course, going out with just milsurp might look a bit weird, but if you have a jacket, boots or trousers that looks good with the rest of what you are wearing, go for it.
Personally i really like milsurp, but i don't know which sites that sell reliable/okay quality milsurp. Any other anons have info on this?

Yap blending milsurp into an everyday look is tricky and revolves around not dressing like you're LARPing.

A camo jacket + cargos + boots is fairly fedora unless you're hiking.

Thanks, i've looked a bit on varusteleka from beforehand, but i'll check out kommandostore. Most milsurp i wear anyways is while working outside. Don't really know how i could incorporate my milsurp attire to a casual fit that doesen't look to spergy.

Imo a lot of it comes down to what the piece is, how attractive you are and what you pair it with.

It's an easy way to pep up a geography teacher-core fit.

>>14364658
Yeah, i agree with that. If i put some effort into finding something that looks good for me i would walk around with milsurp alot more than i do now.
Also, if that is you, that belgian jigsaw jacket looks pretty damn neat on you.

The trick I usually stick to is just one piece of milsurp. if you want to go for more dont have them next to each other. boots and jacket for example

No, I don't.

Also, why has Varusteleka gotten to shit recently? No more good surp and almost everything they offer is their own, more expensive line of clothing.

Might buy it just to hang it on my wall.

There's only so much milsurp, and it's probably getting more expensive. Building a brand for rugged outerwear then cashing in is where the real money is.

That much is obvious, one should have been there in the 90s when the eastern bloc uniform depots were emptied and sold in packs of ten. Regardless, even their own production runs become more and more generic outerwear. I remember them selling a full M27 uniform reproduction that was the best quality available, as well as a bunch of leather jackets, none of that remains.
