this is the only correct answer. the style was brought to the "mainstream underground" (the highest level below the mainstream, which would be athleisure) by people like Roy Purdy, who dressed like the worst parts of 90s fashion as a joke for his joke rap career. Unfortunately it stuck and now we're stuck with a disgusting emalgum of poser fashion for tasteless people lacking in personality
