I still want one because as a kid I had a moped that looked like one and I always wanted to get a full on bike like that. Now where I live it would cost me about $1000 a year to ride a motorcycle and I only recently got a job where I can afford that. No, don't get a Bonneville. In fact, don't buy any first bike that has an engine over 300cc.

You will make mistakes, and best case scenario you will wreck your bike.

Get a second hand, there's plenty of options. Learn the engine, learn mechanics, figure out how the parts of a motorbike are connected. Take it slow.

Triumphs are beautiful bikes, but they should be your 3rd bike or 2nd if you'd had at least 5 years experience on a previous bike beforehand.
