There isn't really treatment besides therapy, from my understanding. I believe body dysmorphia to be one of the mental illnesses we haven't quite figured out yet, and allowing them to transition is more of a temporary measure. I can't speak for all trans people, but if they had the option to live happily as their given sex for the rest of their life, they would take it.
