Usually I have pretty thin hair, but this gives a pretty good texture to it. Really easy to apply as well, which for me is great in the mornings, where I'm in a rush.
Also, you can never use too much, in my experience, so you'd struggle to fuck it up if you've got short (like medium length max) enough hair for it.

Op if you want straight hair you could try to see if an ionic hairbrush might work. From a couple of brushes all around it should take out static then start to straighten it. I've heard that for some people that started routinely using it got permanent straight hair even people who used to to have kinky curly hair

My strat is after a shower, to barely damp hair i apply argon oil. Then apply "Cantu shea butter moisturizing curl activating cream" throughout. I wait 30m-1hour for a nice shell to form, like with gel (which i also use sometimes) and scrunch it out and fluff it up a bit.

I don't like how it looks when i grow out the sides, so im thinking about cutting the sides more often than i was. Also im starting to dislike my glasses, but i dunno.

Looks like a cut with too much product in it, then I read your post and yeah. Far too much product. Never use gel. If you want defined curls, use your mousse, blow dry it, then define it with a texture cream. Argan oil is for Plebs and should really only be applied at night as long as you use it sparingly and intend to wash the residue off in the morning.

Start on your forehead and move the brush from your forehead over the top of your head and to the end of your hair. Perhaps shake it out a bit for some bounce.

When I get to like....day 2-3 of not washing it, I keep it loosely tied back (not tightly or it will cause hairline to recede)

I have an office job and brush hair thoroughly throughout the day. This helps keep it tangle free/straight as well as spreads natural oils through hair length. It actually doesnt look bad/greasy with longer hair (more hair for oil to cover when brushed frequently).

When I wash it, I shampoo 2 times to thoroughly clean it.
Conditioner, I slather on and leave in for a good 15mins while I do other things in shower (brush teeth, floss, soap up body, fap, etc).

Dont use cheap shampoo and conditioner.

After I get done with shower, I run my head through cold water via the bath faucet. This helps seal up hair and hair follicles so hair doesnt get pulled out or break when brushing after shower/bath.

I dont really blow dry unless it's like...special occassion and I'm trying to mix it up a bit.

I have a full head of hair but the hair is very, very fine. I'm wondering what product will let me give it some volume so that I can go for a medium to medium-short sideswept undercut with a little height. It would look a bit different from pic related. The product must not ruin the soft texture of my hair, so I imagine that styling mousse or a cream will be my only options.

These idol kids have thick ass hair that is styled over and over again before events and in-between stage sets.

If you hair is straight you'll either have to curl it with a wand and set it with spray (will make thin hair look greasy/crusty) or a barrel brush and blow-dryer. You have to commit to spending a long time styling your hair and already be blessed with some positive hair genes to have naturally coarse or thick hair.

If your hair is curly it has to be straightened and you have to use products to keep frizz/curl from coming back. Still need time to style and upkeep.

If you're white and/or your hair is thinner bring pictures of young Leonardo DiCaprio for reference and not stuff hairdressers can't pull out their ass.

I wash it every other day and even tried to use shampoo for greasy hair but it barely works.
Only product I use is dust(?) to keep it on place and give it a little volume (my hair is naturally straight and flat). Gel and wax are a no-no because of the grease problem.

It's not a case of just building in front of the receded hairline, you've got to build the hairline forward. If the surgeon suggests just building on top of it then he's inexperienced, frankly. For a natural result, building that along the natural movement of your face would look great, but a straight hairline will just look weird

Can't take another pic right now but hope this helps. The top back is pretty short, about 3 inches at the whorl tapered down to 1 inch at jaw level. Sides are brushed straight down to about 2/3rds down my ears then cut straight across. I just brush them back after showering so they dry with that curled shape.

I haven't committed to this but I only wash my hair if I go out now, I was really skeptical and worried since my hair and bangs get greasy quickly but it's done me well. When I do wash I don't use no-poo stuff though, I use the VERB ghost line for no weird additives. Also if you condition, don't condition your roots. Just do the ends if you can and only a tiny amount. If I had the willpower I'd go full no-poo, I've never seen any downsides besides people trouble-shooting and having it solved.
