Just like Creed, PdM are overpriced at retail but very good when considered at their gray market prices. Percival might be the cousin of Legend, Fierce, and Platinum Egoiste, but it's better than any of those with more complexity and much improved performance. Layton is unmatched in the apple-vanilla thot slayer category. Carlisle is an excellent woody-sweet fall through spring daily and Herod is an excellent tobacco. No reason to hate on the house when it simply operates as a provider of deluxe standards. That's what a lot of niche fragrance is nowadays.

yes, they have some quite interesting and high quality stuff.
orion is sort of an aventus clone, but smokier, darker and with better performance

laudano nero is a goth-ish scent with lots of incense, boozy sweet cognac, tobacco, labdanum, etc.

gold rose oudh is another take on the rose/oud thematic, kinda similar to black aoud but supposedly without that harsh synthetic smell of the montale aouds. really powerful dark shit.

overall, not groundbreaking scents but well made, high quality and super long lasting. great entry-level niche.

Testing this today. Carina, from the Nebula Collection by Oliver & Co.
Usually with those more conceptual fragrances, they end up being faithful to its concept and being more of a novelty. That or the concept does not make any sense with the smell.

This is quite different and it strikes a good balance between concept and usability.

Smells like a forest on an unknown planet. Really futuristic and dystopian. Metallic, slightly citrusy, airy. Synthetic, but in a good way. Hard to describe in terms of notes, but certainly very wearable.

>The intense seemed to ist way longer on my skin... with great projection as well.

I had the same experience, which was unexpected since the fragrance itself is lighter and fresher-smelling than the EdT. I did not get great sillage.
I think it would be fine for hotter days. It's light and citrusy with nothing that would smell cloying in hot weather.

It does not have the same flinty, mineralic notes of the original, but amps up the vetiver and adds more pepper and amberwood. They definitely toned-down the ISO E Super woodiness and replaced it with more natural-smelling vetiver.
Honestly, they are different enough to where you could have both and not seem redundant.

Habit Rouge. Jean-Paul Guerlain toned down some of the florals and vanilla, and added a lot of leather, but Shalimar's classic blast of lemon at the opening that slides into that creamy, vanilla-tonka base is right there in Habit Rouge.

If you smell it today it's very retro-smelling. It's obvious it wasn't formulated in this decade.

That said, though, it's one of the historical masterpieces of men's perfumery and totally worth trying a decant of at least once in your life.

Dylan Blue is an anomaly for the Versace line. It lasts all day primarily because of its heavy ambroxan base. I would say DB is okay for the office and warm weather; just go light in those situations because it's strong.
VpH has the longevity of a fruit fly. Blue Jeans and Dreamer are weak due to reformulation.

It's true. Dreamer and Blue Jeans are from 1996 and 1994. All 90's fragrances have been reformulated at least three times due to various changes in IFRA regulations. You might be too much of a zoomer to understand things that occurred before you were born, but reformulation of 90's scents is universal and always for the worse.

How much of a difference price makes is up to the individual, but I never said it makes much of difference, only that it's a positive trait if you end up liking it and want to buy a bottle (the value you get for your money). And I personally think it's a fantastic vetiver option. Others you mention are good in their own right but I wouldn't say any are that much better, if at all. That would depend on your personal taste. The only one I like as much as ENS of the ones you mentioned is Grey Vetiver, the rest not so much.
