So they put the bracelet of one watch on other watch. The whole "luxury mechanical watch" deal is so boring and nonsensical. Compare that to people that are actually trying to do new and better things, like Apple.

Since they use mechanical movements instead of quartz to justify prices (muh craftmanship), accuracy or quality in general can't be the selling factor. The only new thing that they can really come up with is silly little changes. BOOOORINGG

Almost my perfect quartz grail (so far), only con being limited edition, and the slightly irregular rectangle 6, 9. I really like the split trapezium 12, regular rectangle and circles aesthetics.
SNZF17, MDV106-1A are cool cheap beaters.
MRW-200H is dirt tier cheap shit.
SNE441's trapezium is not split.
SRP775's rectangle are even worse.

The automatics are too expensive for what you’re getting.

The quartz MSRP is like $500 but you can get them on the grey market like Amazon for $200ish.

At that price they would be kinda ok but the quartz movement on them is fucking horrible. The second tick is jarring and ruins the whole thing.

If they made automatics at the quartz pricepoint (or at least engineer a mechaquartz so the movement doesn’t look so trash) I would have bought one, maybe even two by now. The dials are delightfully vintage.

I bought this chrono with a modified russian poljot P3133, handwind movement. It's solid, no problems yet.
I paid about 579€ at that time. Their automatic versions of this chrono were about 1200€ with a valjoux movement.
I love the dial and the color. Their quartz ones are a bit overpriced for what they are but still cheaper than the mechanical ones if you like the style. Zeppelin is nothing special and has no heritage, it's a sister company of Junkers, i think. But a solid watch with a great vintages styling.

New spring drive MM.

A year ago I was this close to buying an MM300, but in the end I couldn't stand the inaccuracy of that unregulated 8L35 movement (neat though it may be).
This SD version fixes that beautifully.

Between this and the new Snowflakes, Seiko is really hitting all the right marks for me, Jesus o'Christ.
Not sure if I could get over that fucking X on the dial though.

Bullshit.
You're talking differences of maybe 1mm here and there.

The MM300 wears smaller than the Tudors because the bezel and dial are smaller.
It also wears thinner because the case flanks actually have shape to them, rather than being slab-sided like the Tudor. Picrel.

Not the guy you're arguing with, but I don't believe that Patek or Lange do curved anglage, which has become one of the signatures of Credor's micro-artist studio. Its the same style of anglage done by Philippe Dufour and which has to be entirely polished manually, by hand, freehand. It's an extremely skill and labour intensive compared to doing flat angled anglage where jigs and small powered tools can be used to speed up the process.

Lange does it all manually and freehand on their tourbillon cages though, because the inside radii and corners are impossible to do any other way.

By hand, as it is used in watchmaking, does not mean done entirely without handheld powered tools. Patek does use jigs and small hand-held powered polishing tools in applying black polish to movement components and anglage, and you can see so yourself with your own eyes in the video walkthrough of Patek done by TheWatches.TV:

https://youtu.be/ZSk2a91nh-s?t=314

Typically the only parts of flat angled anglage that will be cut and polished entirely manually by Patek and Lange are areas where jigs and powered tools cannot reach, such as complex curves, inside curves, and corners like on tourbillon cages.

Dufour an Credor, on the other hand, polish their anglage entirely manually using polishing compounds applied small pieces of wood. This is a much more labour intensive process than what is one by Patek an Lange for anglage.
