I will sooner rather than later have to go to a funeral. Are black jeans and docs acceptable?

>> No.14167838

if its someone close to you you shouldnt worry about what to wear. this is all about you coming to terms with something.
otherwise, dress respectful and in dark tones.

>> No.14167872

unless you are poor and cannot afford a suit, be a normal fucking person and wear a black suit (dark colored or grey if you do not own a black suit).

The death of someone remotely close to you is one of the most serious life experiences you will ever have, thus it warrants the most serious (AKA formal) attire.

Using someone's death to try and showcase how effay you are is one of the most self-centered and disrespectful things you can do.
If you generally are uncomfortable wearing suits or formal attire, you will demonstrate how respectful/serious you are by stepping out of your comfort zone and dressing up.

Please do not dress like a heathen at this person's wedding

I own a black CDG suit that I keep for funerals. It's a really simple and pretty one, and the fact that I have it makes me feel more "prepared" to face the tragedy of a loss.
