How to filter namefags & tripfags

Avoid off-topic derailing of threads with this 1 simple trick!
(it's been three years since I last posted this and it seems like it's needed)

>1. Click Settings (bottom/top of page, when not in Catalog)
>2. Click Filters & Post Hiding
>3. Toggle and Edit "Filter and highlight specific threads/posts"
>4. Toggle "On", "Auto", and "Hide". Leave "Boards" empty. Then enter a type pattern as described below.
>5. Click "Save" and "Save Settings".

For namefags add this for example (as type "Name"):
L Lawliet

For tripfags utilizing ordinary tripcodes (like R Y S S for example) add this (as type "Tripcode"):
!KNDYYIIins

For tripfags utilizing secure tripcodes (like me) add this for example (as type "Tripcode"):
!!6Gk3cvqPqbL

You can also filter tripfags on a name-basis. This will allow your filter to persist even though they switch user-name passwords (resulting in a new tripcode).

Only stubs will be left of comments made by these users.
You can also filter comments containing specific words, like "effay", by using a comment type filter.
Complete threads containing specific words can can also be filtered, through the "Filters" menu in Catalog.

a tripcode is the code after the exclamation marks in the name field:
name!tripcode or name!!secure-tripcode
they're unique and depends on the password used to write them:
name#tripcode or name##secure-tripcode
