I just feel so utterly grossed out on them. Mind you I'm a NYC native.
I went to gather some clothes in an Outside the Closet store for a film I'm working on.

I just associate leftists and fags with thrift stores and not much to my suprise there's a fuckin' "Free HIV testing" sign outside the door.

Is it my political beliefs that just turn me off from thrift stores or my autism in general? I mean i hate shopping for clothes in stores anyway but thrifting just felt even worse.

Only trendy hipsters shop there so thrift stores make an effort to make it a trendy experience. Things are still affordable too.

The trick to thrifting is getting lucky and a place like Outside the Closet is going to have "curators" so you're going to find some generic ass typical shit there, and probably overpriced to boot. If you're spending more than $5 on anything, you're doing it wrong (Los Angeles here, so let's up it to $7 for New York?).
