Are psychedelics /fa/?

>> No.14132661

Nope, because with any real self-reflection and introspection you'd realize you're wasting your life/money/sanity on something as frivolous as clothes and appearances.

Unironically this.

That's stupid
They just made me realize that it's a core part of being human
Have you even done lsd?

>> No.14132718

>>14132692
Yes. I've done LSD a handful of times, mushrooms about 20 times, and DMT once.

>> No.14132724

>>14132692
And fashion is even close to any core part of people human. You sound like a teenager.

>> No.14132725

>>14132718
Okay, then why are you hanging out on a fashion board and what do your fits consist of?

>> No.14132730

>>14132725
Because I like fashion. I haven't done psychedelics in nearly a decade.

what a sad way to look at an interest. what actually matters then? you could say the same about having an interest in film or music -- ultimately they don't matter, even groundbreaking work won't affect the world beyond either being pandering prolefeed or pretentious intellectual fluff.

but i argue one should care about things, one should care about film and music and literature and art, one should care about the general human pursuit of beauty. and as far as fashion is concerned, perhaps the idiom "the clothes make the man" has a kernel of truth to it. in searching for clothes that please and empower me, i am looking to actualize my concept of self. i am, in so many ways, creating myself in it's purest, most immediate level: by addressing the first thing others will notice about me.

and for the records, psychedelics are indeed /fa/

well it seems like at least you’ve done some reflection and given it some thought. do you seriously think the average poster here has done the same?

Cinema and music creates a file which can be copied endlessly.

Fashion depletes the world's resources and contributes to global warming and human suffering.. Psyches made me exclusively buy used clothing when I feel I need something.

i think i'm a good 8 years older than the average poster here and it feels like youngins are more concerned with their fear of fitting in over their desires to "become themselves."

but i also remember first coming to /fa/ like a billion years ago and feeling the same way as they do.

i agree with you, fast fashion is poison and kills the earth. o also only buy thrifts, but in buying thrifts i also make choices in how i will look, and these choices matter to me.

also, you're deluding yourself if you think cinema doesn't contribute to global depletion of resources.

t. literally work in cinema

Basically, yes. I think you hit the nail on the head there bud.

>in searching for clothes that please and empower me, i am looking to actualize my concept of self
what a sad way to look at an interest. Your appearance has no true reflection of your soul, and is merely a manifestation of your ego. There's nothing wrong (or right) with fashion. It just is. And it's just a frivolous hobby. You do you, baby. THAT'S /fa/.

if you trace the line of manufacturing there is no issue with artisanal/high-end stuff in terms of human suffering, all you have do do is learn to invest in pieces. this is also a good way to cultivate a legitimate interest in fashion to begin with. what I’m trying to say is, you don’t have to thrift for everything.

Anon, that was a deliberately simple minded example, of course not all, or even most, works of art fall into those categories, unless you are a simpleton and look at the world dualistically still.

I came to the same conclusion, anon. I wouldn't get so cocky to say it's the only way to think about clothing but aesthetic expression is where it's at dawg

>it's a core part of being a human
Spoken like someone who's never done psychedelics in their life
>Don't worry guys I've dropped acid and guess what? We need to double down on reality. That's right, life isn't a sick joke on God's part. In fact I realized we need to worry more on materialistic things. Yep. Definitely done drugs before. A virgin? Me? No, I had sex before. You don't know her though she posts on other boards
