I kept different lengths of beards throughout the years, right now I'm keeping a shorter one that I don't really like much but it's very easy to maintain.

My suggestion? If you can grow one do it, you can always shave it off in 3 months. Just avoid "onions" beards and neckbeards, those never look good.

but they're not permanent (why would they be?) and they disappear when you stop using minoxidil (and using it for your beard is always a temporary thing, compared to using it for hair loss which is long term)

what's probably causing the wrinkles is dehydrated skin making expression lines show up easier (i.e, not photoaging). but this isn't exclusive to minoxidil. it's an effect of the alcohol based carrier in the liquid form (but not the foam), and alcohol is used in plenty of topical products, not just minoxidil.

easy to remedy though, you just slather your face with a good moisturizer (which you should be doing anyway)

The liquid minox has alcohol in it. It was causing me to have dry skin and flakeouts for the longest time.

yeah. alcohol is thought to increase absorption of topically applied drugs through the epidermis by dissolving lipids in the stratum corneum, hence why the alcohol based minoxidil tends to have better / quicker results.

however, you could probably get the same rate of absorption by using the foam and an exfoliator to remove that top layer of skin (which would mitigate some of the more unpleasant side effects of the alcohol)

I've been on min for about 1.5 years. Had no issue with the liquid for a while, then it started making my skin flake and made me look like I had dandriff. About 2 months ago I switched to the foam and haven't looked back. The fact that it's dry in like 10 minutes already makes it better than the liquid (which takes over an hours and you can't style or do anything with your hair until it's dry)
