try and hunt down a pair of Ann Demeulemeester or Dries derbies. They're infinitely better quality and the design is much more sleek and interesting than docs. If you want a beat up shoe then get the MIE monos, I hate that atrocious yellow stitching.

pictured is my pair. picked up for relatively cheap on grailed. sizes and styles are limited and hard to come by but if you can find a pair, they're usually only around $200-$400.
