So dress accordingly to your role which is what your bosses call "smart casual". Accept that your life was boring and make them richer until you are dead.

If you look like a dork in your 30s im sure you looked like one in your 20s and you will be a dork in business casual attire too. Besides hoodies are comfy. I prefer them to cringy cosplay tier shit like leather and denim jackets.
