My company is in the product stages of producing the first line of sneakers this spring and these are test samples of the overall build and look of the shoe. Any honest criticisms are appreciated and thank you /fa/ for pushing me forward.

>> No.14074196

The price is set at 100usd, and 120usd depending on the shipping cost we don't want it too expensive, we have a no-retros policy in place to assure we constantly move forward as a brand and company so after this release there won't be any more of this model. All patent leather upper with hits of calf leather, there is two choices of sole. Either our stock soles or our new in-house ones. That we'll showcase at a later date. After /fa/ hit us hard with our first few designs, I had to go back to the drawing board a few times.

>> No.14074203

The only good thing about this sneaker is that it wont be released again. Honetly anon it looks like you bought a cheap Asos tier high top, tore the designs off and stitched it by hand yourself. Why would anybody want to spend $100 dollers on a sneaker that offers nothing new or special? What type of technology is in it? What makes your design unique?

>> No.14074215

I'm very glad you said this, first let me thank you for your criticism. Simply by buying this shoe, you get a discount on our next release, we believe every unboxing of a shoe should be more than getting the same thing you see every single day.The new technology in this shoe is within the sole (not pictured due to these being samples), which also features not only a new take on soles but the outsole as well. One thing we can say for certain this shoe will get people looking down and people wondering what new wave you're on completely since we're on the low-know side for now. We build all our designs from scratch and from the information we've gathered from people wearing our shoes being asked what they were was one of the biggest compliments we received, we've been able to provide a better experience for the overall wearer while being a unique take. Currently, we have 4 patents in innovative technology in footwear that we're planning to be talking about later in the year.

>> No.14074228

What does the sole do? Obviously you don’t need to give me a rundown, but is it supposed to be more comfortable or something?

I like them op, they remind of those Russian hi tops that used to be posted here

I don't however like the symbol on the side and the colours could be changed too

>> No.14074245

Yes, it's a more comfortable sole that is also comfort adjustable to the wearer.

Thank you for your criticism.

>> No.14074270

The logo lines look pretty bad hope the won't look like that once (if) they're released. For the rest it doesn't look too bad I'm just not a fan of the colors looks very pre2013 like.

>> No.14074301

Perforation density and colors give off a cheap vibe, and as others have said the styling is outdated and side logo is still sloppy.
It's better than other prototypes you've posted though. Keep improving, you clearly give a shit about this project so I hope it gets somewhere interesting eventually.

No the finished sneaker will not have those defects at all, these are just sample test that will likely just be given to the testers. The finished product of every shoe we release will be the best possible shoe we can create. Quality, style and respect for the wearer is our main priorities.
Thank you for your criticisms, we take them to heart.
Absolutely brother, thank you so very much.

>> No.14074955

Those looks like basic ass margom soles, I doubt you have any tech going on in there. The upper looks like it was designed with no purpose or theme. I think the black strap of leather at the bottom of the eyestay doesn't fit for a shoe like this, it's not an actual sport shoe or even trying to imitate a sport shoe so there's no need for those reinforcements there. Overall I get a sketchy underpass shop skate shoe vibe.

>> No.14074961

Actually they look more like AJ2s

>> No.14074971

Thank you for your criticism, firstly as I stated before these soles are not the ones on the final product. Sorry if I didn't make that clear to you, secondly it is never meant to be a sports shoe. It's a lifestyle casual shoe, we aren't going into the sportwear market at all. Once we're done looking at all the criticisms here we'll make many needed changes to the final product. I appreciate your input greatly.

>> No.14074977

Airwalk core

>> No.14074983

I can see it's not a sport shoe, which is why I said that strap looks out of place. I think you need to rework the mudguard on the toe or just switch to a simple cap toe. That mudguard is too slim and dated, giving those 2012 feels some other anon pointed out.

>> No.14074993

Those looked like something a juggalo would wear

>> No.14074998

The toe cap looks a bit naked because it's a big spot of white. As others have said the perforations look like shit. Also maybe because it's just a prototype but the side logo looks sloppy. If the intention is to make it look a bit more hand drawn it still needs to look a bit sharper. It could also benefit from a slightly darker shade of red

>> No.14075004

Way too busy and not in a good way. Hiking shoes are busy with straps and different closures but it looks cool. Sneakers have crazy designs too but they’re just color patterns and not some logo. Plus the red white and black color scheme is extremely dated. They come off as if you sat down and tried to design a shoe.

>> No.14075008

To help you, think about who would wear them, who is the target market. These do honestly look like juggalo shoes. Just think of the ideal buyer and shape the shoes to this imaginary persons needs and tastes.

>> No.14075023

Actually the crazy design of most sneakers actually has a purpose, usually stabilizing the foot in the shoe, same like hiking boots. OP's shoe just looks designed for the sake of it.

>> No.14075125

Thank you for your criticism, that isn't the case. While we focus on lifestyle and casual wear the overall build of our shoes are meant for comfort first, these are prototype versions as we work towards that. The last thing we will do is ship anything we ourselves wouldn't wear.

Excellent criticism, and thank you for the advice it is insanely appreciated and we will be making improvements.
Thank you for the criticism you have posted and we're noting them down. I understand your viewpoint.

Thank you for these design criticisms and your overall taste of the shoe and what you do and don't like about it. It is noted down. I respect your thoughts

first off its ugly, but thats just a matter of taste, this isnt something you would sell to me imnot in your market. this is something to seel to people who wear osiris shoes, or old DCs or supras. essentially zumiez tier

that being said the leather looks good, the contrast stitching just brings more attention to the stitching so you need to be on TOP of that shit, the patterns also dont perfectly line up which is especially apparent where the black meets the white, until you master the substance of the construction id stick to all white or monochrome, something that wont show off the shitty construction

the design is cluttered, the weird shaped voids in the D arent bad but again u want cleanly cut patterns that make that shape look intentional not like a three yr old with those specialty scissors.

the little sliver cut out in the red looks like a mistake (i know its not, it just looks it)

i remember wearing shoes similar to these when i was like 12 or something and i really enjoyed having the tongue ove my pant leg, so maybe the nice bungee straps that make laces not totally necessary

another thing was a good interior tag, thirteen yr old love edgy meaningless shit so something on the inside of the tongue designed nicely w an edgy slogan or drawing or what have you

>> No.14075148

personally i think you could fix some design problems
the shape and the sewins on the brown stamp looks kind cheap
the sole looks comfortable
congrats on your release
wish you luck

Thank you for your criticisms, that's how we run our company. With this being out first shoe, it will never be released again.

Thank you for this criticism, we have released sample prototypes to individuals to wear and ask questions with and the results are people believe it's a casual wear or basketball styled shoe, even for skating. This isn't the final product however so it does not reflect the sum total of our hard work.

Yes we do and that shoe will never see the light of day again. Thankfully it isn't our first shoe release ever and is chalked up as a failed prototype.

I myself got into fashion by being in the technology space, I've always been a fan of interesting new tech I would make and decided to apply that with my drawing and designing skills towards footwear. My advice is its a long and hard road and you won't please everyone and there will be times where it seems so difficult you want to give up but never do. Life rewards the hard working, especially in fashion. Let your vision shine.

Honestly, it's so offensive you think this outdated style is enough to hold up in 2019, not only that but actually think you could make money off of it. I agree with some other posters, yes these shoes could potentially be worn by people living in 3rd world countries after they have been forced to be thrown out and recycled to charity due to not selling. And from reading other comments, apparently you have posted in the past with equally awful designs. If you want some truthful advice, please hire other people to do the work if you want to see any money being made because your ideas aren't holding up and you are wasting great material and labor creating these abominations. The only people thanking you for these failures are again, people in third world countries who will wear anything out of necessity. It seems to me that you are stuck in 2005 designing shoes for black men in brooklyn. Maybe that's your niche, but you wont find supporters here. If you want the attention of /fa/(not just the sneakerfags) you should make a shoe with most of these attributes:
-edgy, but simple
-elegant, but simple
-good build quality(stitching should be very good and no glue should be visible) if your shoe falls apart easily noone will trust your brand again.
-price point of $100 is decent depending on the quality of the end result. The pic you posted look fucking terrible. Tell the factory to go fuck themselves if thats the best they can do. Your build quality must match or beat your competitors.
-colors pleasing to the eye. this goes with being simple. The op pic was terrible with the colors. Less colors is better for now
-consider making a shoe with canvas.
-logo: no. No one wants your logo on their foot. Why? Nobody knows who the fuck you are. That's why. If i was still into shoes( i moved onto boots now) i wouldn't want people to see me wearing those because it would look like im wearing some kind of knockoff air force 1s. Lets face it tho, you arent going to shrink the logo or remove it entirely because without that logo, your shoes have no distinguishing features. And you know it. I hope you succeed but you dont listen to critique. If you came here for peoples opinions then ask questions. Dont just parrot "Thank you for your criticism". That's a great way to piss "us" off.
