The right scarf is, the wrong scarf is not. I like to wear pretty loud scarves because they're a great ice breaker for sarcastic, self-depracating jokes and they make insecure normieswho wear bootcut jeans seethe and embarrass themselves when you no sell them calling your functional clothing gay which is a pretty easy thing to flip back on people.

The big hoods on parkas with far are really warm. The fur also reduces how frigid the incoming wind feels. I'll wear a scarf with it occasionally but usually the hood is enough.
