If it's about walking, pick up some black Ultra Boost on sale for $125. I'm all for Made In America, but as a practical matter nothing matches the comfort of Boost for being on your feet ten plus hours a day.
990 aren't bad, but they don't offer the same spring in your step and absurd next-level knee/back/foot protection of Adidas.

was thinking of getting 990s or 991s. i tried them on at the new balance store and i was a big fan. everyone in america has 990s i believe so i'm leaning towards 991s. thoughts on these?

Get these in either black or blue. They are amazing, and UB doesn't even compare to the comfort of New Balance. I have a pair that I've put around a 1000 miles in and the quality is amazing. Worth the money, but get them in a more wearable color.
