The best knitwear is often unbranded. Best wool knitwear sweater I have is a homemade one I bought for 90 euro's at a charity stand at the local harvest fair. They gave all the profits from it to a charity organisation, think It was cancer research or something. Have been wearing this thing almost nonestop since every winter.

Try looking at local places near you, I think you have charity stuff like that in Britain aswell. The more obscure the cheaper they often are: when people feel they're getting popular they will often start asking more.

uniqlo - £30 or so, thus so cheap it doesn't matter how well they hold up but in spite of that they hold up well, just hand wash gently. also reiss is ok.
