I absolutely adore this jacket, but I'm on the fence because of the $300 price tag. Could someone link me a similar jacket for less or should I bite the bullet and buy this one?

If it fits your aesthetic, Carhartt's are an incredibly easy cop imo
their materials age beautifully and last decades,
despite being very rigid the designs usually make them very easy to move in,
sturdy zippers, rivets and button

I don't especially trust the QC on the Mexican lines tho, test all functions if you're buying from them.

forester here

everybody wears carhartt in this profession. double front pants with the cuffs cut off so they dont snag, sherpa jacket or vest so shit doesnt catch on you in the brush, beanie if your head gets cold. some wear longsleeves, I personally wear H&M activewear shirts because you get hot eventually and I dont care about my forearms getting cut up that mich
so actual working class people wear this shit, but YOU can ALSO buy a $130 jacket to cruise around in your ‘03 camry while practicing mewing and ordering a double IPA

but not the workwear. you are simply clueless about that.

Ive been wearing these coats since i was 15.

LOVE THEM.

warm loads of pockets very functional and all the socalists/weirdos in my country wear them so i can usually ask anyone wearing the same coat for a smoke and have a good conversation.

they sell for 30/50 euros all day every day. my first one lasted 7 years of almost daily use.

they come with a wool insert that can be removed for spring/summer.

HONESTLY THEY ARE GREAT. silver ones are water proof as well. the hoods are cozy as fuck as well.
