I'm looking for more stuff like Rosen X suits: https://rosen-store.com/collections/suits — casual, creative fits and affordable. The only thing I don't like is how loose everything is, I prefer high waist pants with slim waists. Can anybody rec brands? I'm from Europe if it matters.

Depends on how you want it to fit. If you want it oversized everywhere then size up otherwise you'll need to size up and take to your tailor or find specific pieces that look the way you want.

For example I like oversized sweatshirts but I prefer the neck to fit properly or oversized t shirts with drop shoulders that don't hang down below my balls

It's just that I have no problem with leather and the like when it's taken from an animal in a humane manner, and I see it as not much different from consuming meat products, but calf skin just bothers me because it's taken from a younger animal, and so the animal is raised for a short time and then immediately slaughtered. To me it feels disrespectful to the animal, but at the same time I feel that's kind of nonsensical and/or contradictory.

You're just in denial my dude, because it is pretty hard to confront the reality of animal exploitation in the 20th and 21st century. Calfs have to die for you all the time, as long as you consume animal products. Where do you think milk comes from? And a humane slaughter doesn't exist, that's a weird rationalization that is pretty popular. Look up videos of cow slaughter, the animals are fearing for their life.

I'm having trouble sizing myself for a jacket.

A medium shirt is a little big on me but a small is too small. My size M jacket is a good fit, almost perfect. My other jacket is a large and it's too big (it's between okay and sort-of-bad, not absolute dogshit). The size M jacket says chest size 38"-40" in the sizing chart. The jacket I am looking at says size M is 38"-40" in the sizing chart. So it seems like they have identical sizing.

I read that you are supposed to take a deep breath when measuring your chest. When I do, I have a 44" chest. When I am relaxed I have a 42" chest. The chart for the jacket I want says I should go with XL or XXL (XL=41"-43", XXL=43"-45"). No fucking way am I an XL or XXL. That thing would come down to my knees. When I put on my medium jacket, zip it up, and take a deep breath I don't totally fill it out. Every size M jacket or shirt I have worn has fit perfectly or been a little loose.

Could I be measuring myself wrong?

>> No.13954720

I doubt your measuring yourself wrong but you might be a little bit off with your measurements. What kind of jacket is it? I'm willing to bet that either whoever makes this jacket has a strange cut and the chest is small, or you have a slightly bigger chest than you think. Also how much longer are the XL and XXL sizes compared to the M size? If it's only an inch of difference in length you might just want to go with that.

thoughts on Zara? Is their quality any good? I've heard mixed things

I've never shaved with a razor before, only electric that gets not as close a shave as I'd like, but I've always been worried of grazing myself.
Would getting down to stubble with the electric, then getting a closer shave with the razor be a better way to shave than just using the safety razor?

Very happy for how well her brand is maturing.

I think I Iook pretty decent with my frame and face but I was wondering if I should just get a full on turtleneck then

I'm hairy as fuck and don't want any of it. Preferably not laser hair removal.

If you was searching for plain t-shirts and found them than yes. If you are not sure if you really need t-shirts right now and just found this "great deal" than no.

Mock neck designed mostly not to be shown under a jacket so think about how you would style it.

Quality isn't there. I had some basics from them and they lost their shape after a single wash. Their other clothes might be different.

>>13956715
Yes. If you haven't shaved in a while trimming and then shaving is best.

The bundeswehr trainers are my favorite shoe. Throughout however many renovations my wardrobe has gone through, they stay. Save yourself some money and buy them instead of the Adidas ones (unless you're in Germany, don't buy surplus or else you'll look like a LARPer).

I was happy with mine. The quality on Norse Projects is generally good. If you've got extra money to spend, I'd say cop.

I shave my beard from time to time with a razor. The only difference is that it takes forever because the razor clogs as soon as it touches my face. I shave my beard, then reapply shaving cream and shave again to get a close shave. Don't be afraid to push down with the razor. If you don't use enough pressure the razor ends up pulling your hairs which kind of hurts. I've only cut myself a handful of times over the 16 years I've been shaving. It's always been very small nicks and they stop bleeding before I'm even done shaving. I'm pretty sure pic related is a meme because even my very first time I was better than that and I was all by myself with zero instruction.

Just bought some Chelsea memeboots (Apt. 9) from Goodwill for 15 dollars. They fit pretty well and their shape is perfect, but they're faux leather (oddly enough with a genuine leather outsole). Will they age like shit? They're not terribly flimsy but I fear they may not last because of the composition

Also can anyone recommend good genuine leather Chelseas to look out for and don't give you long skelly witch feet?

theres good material in the 'mens basics' page but it could use an overhaul

the intro should triage between people who are interested in looking professional, presentable, or attractive to the opposite sex and people who are interested in fashion for its own sake. two very different roads.

ive been thinking about adding or editing the sticky to make it more efficient but i am not sure if i would be pissing off the op
