Too bad synthetic fur tends to not be as nice as real fur and also isn’t the best for the environment.
So the best way to end the fur trade is to develop an environmentally friendly synthetic that either matches or surpasses the quality of real coyote or fox fur.
Though the issue is that you’ll be putting fur traders out of a living, and many of the brands that make coats with real fur make them don’t outsource to make them. Canada Goose is made in Canada. The fur and down come from Canada. This is good for jobs in Canada. Synthetic fur is made in China.
Idk I’d be more wary of buying a coat if it was made of fox fur than coyote fur. Maybe because I love foxes while I see coyotes as pests. Maybe that makes me a bad person.
