Scandinavian working in a fashion store in Copenhagen here.

Norse Projects have decent knits. Best knits at that pricepoint imo, their Sigfred merino is GOAT.

NN07 make good basics, they made some corduroy pants this season that I love, model is called Karl. Also good outerwear.

Acne Studios is overpriced as fuck compared to quality, never buy this shit at full price. There's an in-joke in the fashion biz, we kall it 'Rakne' (norwegian for fray/unravel, cuz that's what their shit does).

Hestra's sub-label Gaucho is best bang for buck when it comes to gloves.

Han Kjobenhavn has some cool stuff.

HALO does tech-wear, guy behind it is the same guy behind the Storm fashion store.

Last Conspiracy makes some OKish Guidi/A1923 ripoffs at a lower pricepoint if ur into that aesthethic.

For basic tees, hoodies and crewnecks nothing beats Colorful Standard, the quality to price ratio is unbeatable. Just plain cotton basics in over 20 diff colors.

Woodwood make some cool stuff as well. But I'm not really that into their aesthetic.

Andersen-Andersen, SNS Herning and Hansen Garments make some good sailor-type thick chunky knits and classic timeless menswear staples.

Holzweiler makes good scarves.

Pullover has some nice wool-jersey turtlenecks.

Libertine-Libertine has some nice shirts.

Filippa K, Samsoe Samsoe

Womenswear:
Ganni, Rabens Saloner, Mr. Larkin, Rodebjer, AF Agger, 5preview, House of Dagmar

Do you mind me asking how one ends up working at a fashion store in Copenhagen? (storm, wood wood, one of the consignment shops, etc.) Just finished high school and I don't really know the path to follow, seems like a lot of it is based off of personal connections.

Also Heliot Emil is nice ravey techwear, Henrik Vibskov Makes really fun patterns and shit and is a also really chill guy.

Not the aywtt, but the "unnoticable" element you talk about, it's probably got something to do with Jantelov (Law of Jante). Janteloven is the idea that at least Danish society doesn't like its inhabitants to stand out. It's a collectivist society and quite the opposite of the America in that respect. People are encouraged to fit in on a much higher level than in the US.

Literally if you wear for example a bright coloured raincoat, people will speak to you in English thinking you are a foreigner.

I have an Acne coat I got on 50% off, model Gavin. It's quite nice, but the inner lining already ripped, after 1 year, and it's not even 100% wool... Fuckin' Racne...

Small company, 2 stores, 2 owners with 50% ownership each and me, bosses' GF and some 60 year old gay dude in company. I do Instagram, go to sales meetings and help pick out what to have in store, go to CPH fashion week shit etc. Get food at work etc.
Maximum comfy.

Tbh I think most of the scandinavian/danish brands are bland.

Samsoe, Libertine-Libertine, Mads Norgaard, Won Hundred, Soulland, Wood Wood. They all make the same boring overpriced shit (samsoe not that overpriced).

Han kjobenhavn is a hit and miss (mostly miss).

HALO is overhyped by all Rasmus' celebrity friends both danish and international due to his position in Storm.

Andersen-Andersen, SNS and Hansen make great quality knits but it's dad/granddad-wear.

Astrid Andersen was cool at one point but now it's boring again.

Last conspiracy is a good step into guidi although they've raked up their prices a lot, even when you consider they still mostly copy guidi and other brands.

Henrik Vibskov might be your go-to-brand if you're into wear oversized outfits and cuts. Overpriced as well.

Kind of hurts to admit but a lot of this shit is either hyped by danes because it's 'theirs' (which is understandable desu) or by foreigners because of the scandinavian minimalism fetishization wave.

The thing with Denmark is people generally dress well, but you rarely see someone walking down the street stand out in a memorable or interesting get up. In the New York you'll see a bunch of people dressed awfully or like they don't care about their appearance but you will see some crazy and nice outfits. I believe the fashion sector in Denmark reflects that in a way

Oscar Jacobsen is the best coat-producer ive ever seen. Overpriced but very nice heavy and traditional quality. this wont be warm enough but it will be smart and you will a nice midlayer underneath the coat.

If you want an all-in-one go for Arc'teryx 24/7 line - its extremely nice quality and often better materials than veilance but without the high-fashion price-tag. Arc, Patagonia and Peak Performance are what danes choose mostly, but top of the line and best lifespan is definetely Arc. You wont even need to buy the most expensive model to stay warm, even the mid-range jackets and mid-layers are surprisingly good. Its French tho.
