Carhartt thread.

How the fuck do you get a proper fit for these clothes! I'm 6'1 200lbs usually a XL and a Large chore coat looks like I'm wearing my dad's clothes as a child.

Get them tailored. They're work clothes, they're not ment to be fitted.

Usually WIP fits a bit slimmer but yeah its workwear so it will fit boxy. I wished I had sized down on my Detroit jacket but you just kind of learn to layer up to fill it out and cuff the sleeves so they arent too long.

If that isn't enough, you can fall for the tailoring meme

i do like a 42 us shirt, am decently broad shouldered and my Carhartt for outdoor work is a small (lol jacket is like Fuck you what wind, its great for that) but is a bit snug at the waist line cuz well i like to eat and drink more than i like to run (usually). i dont know what height/weight means for a frame. assume you are a T-square and that Carhartt is made for bulkier, but somehow narrower at the waiste people than you.

If you want to larp as a construction worker but want a better fit then the wip version is a good choice.

Tailoring isn't a fucking meme, it's the answer.

They're work clothes, they're not meant to be tailored.

OP, just accept that the charm of the jacket is that you can move around in it and rough it up. It's not a blazer, don't treat it like one
